Amish quilt and crafts sale returns

The traditional Amish quilt auction and crafts show will once again take place 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Sept. 1 and 2, at the Yoder Farm, 10885 N. Leaton Rd. in Clare. The Yoders and friends hold these events each spring and late summer. In addition to the famous quilts, a variety of arts and crafts, jewelry, jams and plants and other items will be available. Clare County is home to a large community of Amish, whose roots go back to the original founders from Switzerland. Their craftsmen are renowned for their finely made products.
